Daytime Receptionist/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a receptionist/bookkeeper for daytime hours. We will consider both part-time and full-time applications. Some experience in a customer service is preferred but not required. Will train the right person. This currently is a temporary job but based on job performance might lead to a permanent role.

We would like to hire someone that can type and use computer-based programs. The job will be at our front desk and the applicant will be required to check in and out clients, receive payment, make appointments for clients and do any other office duties requested. The job may evolve into working with clients that have payroll and other accounting needs.

We are a small business and work around other obligations such as school or family. We only have an opening for daytime Monday thru Friday working hours.

Hourly pay with no benefits and would be temporary. Are business is mainly tax preparation and currently only need someone until end of April.

Communications Specialist I (208307)

Position Summary: Incumbent will learn policies, procedures and develop competency in the following areas: Operation of a highly complex multi-channel satellite repeater radio system to maintain contact between KHP troopers, other state, local and federal agencies, and fire and ambulance personnel in a wide geographic area. Accessing, operating, interpreting, and disseminating information sent and received from data entry terminals, NCIC, NLETS, KCJIS, DOR, ALERT, the SPIDER computer system, EPIC and the National Auto Theft Bureau to exchange information on a worldwide basis and to provide support to a variety of law enforcement functions. Competency in answering multiple emergency telephone lines to take information pertaining to criminal activity, life threatening situations, Safe School Hotline, and vehicle accidents. Minimum Qualifications: Hearing correctable to a range, that will allow normal radio and telephone conversation with field units (Trooper) and the public. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Incumbent will learn policies, procedures, and develop competency in the following areas. Inspect commercial motor vehicles at a stationary weight facility and writes citations for violations to ensure the protection of the motoring public, the safety of the highways and road, and enforcement of motor carrier laws and regulations. Inspects commercial motor vehicles for oversized loads, permits, warning flags, signage, and for special requirements, such as flagman, or pilot car. Weighs commercial motor vehicles to ensure that no overweight vehicles travel on highways. Conducts investigations and inspections in accordance with law and policies. Visually examine and inspect commercial motor vehicles to check for proper signage, labeling, display of licenses, size, volume, and weight compliances. Check registrations, licenses, permits, insurance, and conduct CVSA inspections, in order to detect or deter illegal transport activities. Check for dyed fuel usage. Check the registration and Vehicle Identification Number to verify ownership and proper registration. Explain to carriers the correct way to apply for permanent licenses and permits. Explain and instructs drivers on a one-on-one basis on correct driver’s daily log procedures and vehicle requirements. Issues citations to violators, inspects permits, and files complaints for violations of state motor carrier laws and regulations. Testify in court to gain conviction for issued citation. Prepare daily reports of generated activity and permits, and remits monies collected. Answers questions by phone and in person relative to the inspection, applicable permits, and registration of motor carriers; inquiries relating to permits, licenses, and laws governing commercial motor vehicles. Establishes and maintains professional lines of communication with employees, public, and other law enforcement agencies.

Position Summary: Entry level. Checks employee identification and signs in public visitors when required. 3) TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS – Maintains certifications in CPR, first aid, AED (defibrillator), and is skilled in their application. Renders assistance in order to provide help to individuals who experience medical problems or accidents. 4) Attends all required agency meetings, and training sessions on equipment and agency systems. Maintains agency equipment and uniforms are presented neat and clean in appearance. Reports all equipment needs to a supervisor as those needs arise. 5) MISCELLANEOUS – When assigned provides security during special assignments/events as prescribed by Troop Commander and/or direct supervisor. Utilizes Agency computer programs and software; properly completes Agency related forms when required.

Administering resident prescribed drugs per orders
Provide all documentation required

Ability to lift residents or assist in lifting residents up to 300lbs
While on duty please be prepared for whatever needs arise, this could include some light housekeeping (night time staff do participate in some light household cleaning of common areas), participating in state survey process, answering the phone and communicating with other staff/management
Answering the phone in a professional manner should be of utmost importance. Staff members are rewarded for properly handling potential resident inquiry calls
