Responsibilities :
– Assisting with the daily care of the residents, including: Personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals.
– Monitoring the resident’s physical and emotional comfort and responding as needed
– Documenting completed tasks such as: Daily shift report, resident records and negotiated service agreement
– Confidentially communicating clearly to other staff, such as: Urgent needs for the next shift and all concerns to the Health Care Director
– Demonstrating the ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engages patients throughout the interaction to create a welcoming and confident patient experience.

Confidentially collects patient demographic and insurance information accurately and documents into computer systems.

Accurately completes all registration forms and ensures patient understanding of conditions of admission.

Effectively communicates and educates patients on their rights and responsibilities and available access through the patient portal.

Coordinates all hospital admission types: inpatient, outpatient, emergency and pre-admits.

Maintains departmental expectations for POS collections, accuracy, wait times and other customer service measures.

Comply with laws and regulations in maintaining patient information and confidentiality.

Assumes other duties deemed necessary for exceptional patient interactions and customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Active Kansas Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) OR
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR
• Active Kansas or National Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR
• Nursing student who has successfully completed their first semester of nursing skills in an accredited nursing program; must successfully complete department skills checklist within 90 days of hire
• BLS upon hire

Caregiver

Caring for a lady (My 70 yr old mother) that has Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Duties would be to shower her, assist her with toilet, feed her and wash her bed pad. She is a sweet lady that can whisper some things but does sleep a lot these days. She is skinny and she can transfer herself with assistance for balance. We have from 8am-6pm Mon thru Friday and Saturday 8-4:30. Can work full time, Part time (2 to 3 full days designated days of the week) or work part time 1/2 days, either 8-1 or 1-6. Overnight Support Caregiver

Seeking female caregiver for nonmedical overnight support 10:30/11pm to 6:30ish am. It would be especially a good additional income for retiree, student or a single. Needs to be someone dependable and reliable, trustworthy. Helper is allowed to sleep throughout night, but be able to be awakened to assist as needed. Inquire for additional details of job. Worker must be able to pass a background check. Provide references. CNA not required, but Previous Care experience is preferred. Serious inquiries only.

CNA

Comply with the Facility’s personnel, safety and corporate policies and procedures.
Comply with the nursing department’s policies and procedures.
Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Administrator, DON or Unit Manager.
Treat residents, family members, visitors and team members with dignity and respect.
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family members.
Must develop and maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and other departments.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Assist in admission and discharge of resident.
Assist residents in daily oral care.
Assist residents in bathing functions (bed bath, tub, or shower).
Assist residents in ear, eye, facial, hair, and nail care.
Keep resident’s dry – changing clothing and linen when it becomes soiled or wet.
Make beds, changing linens when needed and per scheduled.
Assist residents in bowel and bladder functions.
Collect specimens (urine, sputum, stools, etc.).
Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs.
Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity, and social programs.
Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Assist residents in ambulation and mobility.
Proper use of gait belts when assisting residents.
Perform and document resident temperature, pulse, respirations (TPR), weight, and height measurements.
Answer resident call lights promptly.
Report and, when appropriate, document, any change observed in a resident’s condition or behavior to the Charge Nurse.
Prepare residents for meals, serve and remove trays, and assist in feeding as required.
Distribute drinking water, other fluids and nourishments to residents.
Assist in the care of dying residents.
Provide post-mortem care.

Compensation: $15/hour and up depending on experience; shift differential
