Description

As a welder in the Wamego facility, you will hand weld in multiple positions to create parts using semi-automatic MIG welders and .052 wire as well as use robotic welding technology. You will also read and use blueprints to weld individual parts together. You will use jib and overhead cranes to manually position parts and work in one and two person stalls that are clean, well ventilated, safe, and equipped with the latest technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

Possess a welding certification or a minimum of one (1) year welding experience, or will be graduating with a Welding certificate in the next 90 days.
Available to work from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the introductory training period
Must be 18 years of age, or will be 18 at the time of hire
Must be a current student enrolled in a Welding program in Kansas, or have graduated in the last 6 months
Top Candidates will also have

Experience MIG welding
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to work safely and wear all required personal protective equipment
Ability to work overtime to support production demands

Additional Information – Welder

STARTING PAY RANGE: $23.00/HR -$26.75/HR
(*Hourly rate is based on experience starting at $21.50-$25.00 with a 7% night shift premium when working 2nd shift hours.)

*New Hire Bonus: $1,000

**RELOCATION BONUS: $2,000
Work location: Wamego, KS

Shift: 2nd- Full Time

Hours: 2nd shift – Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm- 2:00am

Overtime on Fridays

*Welder bonus pays $500 after 60 days successful performance and an additional $500 after 6 months of successful performance in the Wamego facility*

**Relocation bonus is for Welders graduating from a Kansas Tech School (or that have graduated with in the last 6 months) who will also be relocating 50+ miles from the Wamego facility. The $2,000 bonus pays after 30 days of successful performance**
