LPN

Position Purpose

Provides scheduled, health related services to residents in Brewster Health Center. The nurse is also the primary responder for residents who call in an emergency situation and provides assistance, intervention, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

Administers medications, treatments, and services as prescribed by physician’s orders and reports any unusual findings of the resident’s condition to the charge nurse.
Record care data on electronic health record (EHR) for each elder at the time of service.
Communicates any unusual findings or change of condition to the charge nurse. Will assist in implementing physician’s orders.
Provides first responder services in emergency situations involving all BHC residents.
May be assigned to be Charge Nurse when there is not an RN on duty.
Incorporate the principles and standards of CQI by participating in problem identification and solution focused task forces.
Delegate tasks/documentation as directed by RN.
