CNA PT Nights

Hours: Monday-Friday 5-9:00pm.

The purpose of this position is to provide patient care and home maintenance interventions, under the clinical supervision of a registered nurse, as identified in the patient’s plan of care, and in accordance with organization policies and procedures. Maintains flexibility in schedule and responds to unexpected patient care needs and changes in workload and location of work as directed.

Salary: $11.00-$14.00/hour based on experience

Job Summary: The Nursing Assistant’s primary function is to provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. This position will perform duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, change linens, and move residents as directed or needed. As a CMA, this position will administer medications as directed.

Essential Functions / Duties:

Provide direct resident care as assigned, conduct resident rounds daily, and perform nursing care as noted below:
Answer call lights within designated timeframe.
Give care to all residents assigned; make rounds on all residents; check soiled linens and side rails.
Change incontinent residents; wash and dry soiled residents.
Walk ambulatory residents; this includes taking them to the bathroom.
Give tub baths, showers, or bed baths to residents.
Complete oral hygiene and toileting.
Turn and reposition all bed and chair residents.
Place bedpans, linens, washbasins, and soiled linens in proper area.
Complete charting on residents.
Complete food percentage, intake and output, bowel, and bladder records.
Empty and record all urinary drainage units.
Review care plans, update and document nurse aide flow sheets with relevant information; document in nursing assistant notes and nurse aide flow sheets the care and treatment provided to the resident and the resident’s response or lack of response to care provided.
Initiate corrective action as necessary and/or seek assistance from the Charge Nurse; identify special resident problems and report them immediately to the Charge Nurse.
Participate in resident care conferences and other facility meetings as assigned; participate in the development of an individualized plan of resident care for residents as assigned.
Responsible for the safety of residents under his/her supervision.
Participate in facility continuing education programs as required.
Follow facility procedures for admission, discharge, and transfer of residents.
Listen to resident, family, or physician concerns and initiate corrective action and/or report concerns to ADON.
Must be able to work any shift as directed by the ADON.
Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Operate computers programmed with software needed to record, store, and analyze resident information; operate copy/fax/printer machines to send documents and produce documents.
Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator.
Shift Specific Duties:

Day
Take residents to the dining room and assist in feeding if assigned.
Serve breakfast and/or lunch trays and assist residents that are unable to feed themselves; remove trays from resident rooms and return them to the dishwashing area; ensure that residents are offered nourishment.
Roll beds down.

Evening
Take residents to the dining room and assist in feeding if assigned.
Serve evening meal trays and assist residents that are unable to feed themselves; remove trays from resident rooms and return them to the dishwashing area; ensure that residents are offered nourishment.
Prepare residents for bed.

Education and Experiences: Prior experience in a similar working environment is preferred, but not a requirement of the position. This position requires a certificate as a Nurse Aide and/or Medical Assistant in the State of Kansas and to be listed as a Nurse Aide and/or Medical Assistant in the Kansas Department of Health and Environment Registry.

Home Health or CNA evening hours

Looking for evening care help a couple nights a week( possibly more)
Time: 5:30-8pm or 6-8:30pm
Potential Helpers:
Will be phone interviewed first, then in person & fill applications out.
Must pass a criminal background check
Must be dependable, reliable and able to be on time for work
Overall health, covid safety
Must have reliable transportation (& good back up transport in case)

Work for a friendly, outgoing, active, intelligent wheelchair user. My Interests include: gardening, healthy cooking, art/craft, reading, flea markets/antiques, and much more. I need help and hands to be an extension of me, when I cannot do things for myself. I need someone who is motivated and helpful, trustworthy, outgoing, dependable (at work/on time), self-motivated, willing to learn new or different tasks, able to remember and carry out duties as guided. Someone who has household skills, experience, and pleasant ,has a positive attitude.
Evening Employee will be assisting with some personal care, housekeeping tasks such as washing dishes, emptying trash, laundry. Meal prep assistance, I like to cook, but need help with preparing, reheating, clean up, etc.
No lifting (use slide board for bed to chair transfers), but applicant needs to be physically able in order to assist with duties including Stepping, bending, going up/down stairs for laundry, etc.. and scooting back in my chair, wheelchair maneuvering, possible pushing up/down ramp.
Previous care experience a plus (job or life experience–care for aging parent, kids,etc) Position does not specifically require a CNA, more a Willingness to assist with the personal care, activities of daily living and things I cannot do without assistance.
