Definition and Examples of Work

Installs and repairs wiring, lighting systems, power equipment, electrical devices, heating equipment and air conditioning.
Installs and repairs plumbing and wastewater treatment equipment.
Inspects and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment.
Installs fiber conduit, blown fiber systems, and pipefitting.

Structural Welder

Welds by the electric arc method using stick, gas or flux-shielded wire, semi-automatic, automatic, button or stud welding equipment on carbon, alloy or stainless steel plate, sheet, shapes, castings or other parts included in fabricated steel work. Interprets drawings with some assistance from supervisor. Interprets welding symbols, selects the correct welding electrode and adjusts the welding machine to make the welds specified. May operate arc air gouging equipment. Must produce welds which are acceptable in strength and appearance in flat, horizontal and vertical positions using stick or gas-shielded wire welding procedures. Should be able to judge proper setup for welding with some assistance from Foreman.

BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Learn and develop, at a minimum, all safety requirements, required mechanical, troubleshooting, communication and behavioral skillsets to function efficiently at minimum required qualified mechanic standards.

Electro/Mechanical Tech 1 – $30/hr starting

SUMMARY: Provide mechanical and basic electrical support for equipment used in the manufacturing of pre-weighed dry chemical bags.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
– Perform routine maintenance on production lines, equipment, building and grounds.
– Perform preventative maintenance tasks on production lines, equipment, building and grounds.
– Maintain completion of forms and files regarding daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual PM’s
– Follow all processes, procedures, ISO and safety rules and regulations.
– Provides mechanical and safety support to all employees.
– Regularly communicate with Plant Manager and Office Manager.
– Thoroughly and professionally communicate with production associates to help troubleshoot mechanical issues on the production lines.
– Complete and implement Lock Out/Tag Out training and responsibilities.
– Analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems using risk management.
– Comply with all company policies and procedures.
– Fork-lift and Scissor lift safety and operation.
– Work with Plant manager to maintain inventory on heavily used parts for production lines.
– Work with Plant Manager to list and execute purchase orders for all parts needed.
– Communicate and log all call ins outside of normal business hours.
– Communicate and log all daily tasks completed, in process, and production calls and repairs.
– Maintain great housekeeping and cleanliness in maintenance shop and production area pre and post repairs or project execution.
– Accountable for all API issued and purchased tools and parts needed for mechanical efficiency.
– Learn, understand, and know how to operate production lines.
– When opportunities arise, assist in employee training, knowledge and understanding of production lines and basic troubleshooting.
– Minimal electrical troubleshooting and metering.
