Definition and Examples of Work

Installs and repairs wiring, lighting systems, power equipment, electrical devices, heating equipment and air conditioning.
Installs and repairs plumbing and wastewater treatment equipment.
Inspects and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment.

BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE

The Maintenance Apprentice develops and learns to provide maintenance skills as a resource for the maintenance function to ensure effective equipment operation. They will work with Qualified Maintenance Mechanics to attain OJT and develop practical skills within a specified amount of time.
The Maintenance Apprentice will work towards milestones set forth by Maintenance Leadership.
This will be the first step to grow as a Maintenance Mechanic towards higher levels within the progression path. #LI-JV1
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Learn and develop, at a minimum, all safety requirements, required mechanical, troubleshooting, communication and behavioral skillsets to function efficiently at minimum required qualified mechanic standards.
Successful completion of required coursework to develop required Maintenance skillsets.
Learn to perform preventive maintenance on bakery equipment.
Assist in inspection and upkeep of machinery and equipment.
Learn to repair/replace components on motors, pumps, mixers, conveyor lines, ovens, coolers, etc.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required

Fluent in English.
Pass required exam/test for acceptance into Apprenticeship program.

Electro/Mechanical Tech 1 – $30/hr starting

SUMMARY: Provide mechanical and basic electrical support for equipment used in the manufacturing of pre-weighed dry chemical bags.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance with all Material Handling Equipment, forklift repair, and conveyors involving all customer and vendors of Kenco Fleet Services.

Functions

Repair and maintain all Material Handling Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors using standards set by site.
Responsible for scheduling Planned Maintenance (PM) of all Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, and keeping updated records of PM’s completed.

Quality Assurance Technician

General Summary
Monitors key process control points during production operations. Documents and reports any food
safety or quality issues so that corrective actions can be taken.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Documents and reports any food safety or quality issues and participates in determination of
corrective actions to be taken
• May assist with pre-operational inspection of production plant and equipment and completion or
related documentation
• Performs process verification checks at critical food safety and quality points according to the
facility’s Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan.
• Participates in determination of corrective actions when verification checks do not meet the limits
defined in the facility’s Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan.
• Verifies the facility’s environment including items such as temperature throughout the production
facility, sanitizer concentrations and other food safety related conditions.
• Completes Hold Tags and Cooling Tags, if appropriate, to isolate non-conforming ingredients or
products.
• Conducts and documents the daily product review; participates in evaluation of key sensory
attributes of finished products.
• Responsible for maintaining records, completing documentation, following proper documentation
protocols as assigned
• Adherence and monitor of programs including HACCP Program, good manufacturing practices,
foreign material control, plant sanitation, product quality assurance and other programs as
assigned
• As part of monitoring CCPs (Critical Control Points), must be trained in HACCP (Hazard Analysis
Critical Control Point) and adhere to approved HACCP plan(s)

Job Specifications
• Associate degree in a science related field or 1+ years in a Quality Assurance position or
equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of GMP’s, Food Safety, and Safety requirements
• Ability to read, write and speak in English at a level of proficiency to clearly understand items
such as food safety documentation, ingredient labels, etc. is required.
• Basic computer skills; e-mail, Word, Excel.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are required.

Working Conditions

Maintenance

General Summary
Performs preventative and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with SWI’s and GMP’s.
2. Support the production team as the mechanical expert.
3. Ensure production and support equipment are functioning properly
4. Perform reliability-based asset care and complete corrective work orders.
5. Troubleshoot and diagnoses equipment malfunctions/complete reactive work orders.
6. Make repairs or adjustments to equipment, structures, and facilities equipment as needed.
7. Perform basic electrical duties (replace motors, switches, PE, etc.)
8. Dismantle/assemble machines or equipment to support sanitation or production needs.
9. Perform package change over on lines as required.
10. Train production team members on mechanical process
11. Focus on continuous improvement and the elimination of waste(s).
12. Operate within a CMMS system recording work performed and work needed.
13. Maintain control of MRO inventory.
14. Perform additional duties as assigned including, but not limited to all facilities related tasks and work on special projects as required or assigned by the Facilities and Maintenance Manager.

Job Specifications
1. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
2. Ability to report to work on time and complete entire shift. Timely and regular attendance is required.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. 1-3 years of experience working as a multi-craft industrial technician.
5. Basic understanding of steam generation and supply systems.
6. Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems maintenance.

8. Good communication skills.
9. Basic computer and report writing skills.

Mechanical Technician

Peraton is seeking a Technician I – Mechanical who will support the United States Postal Service (USPS) Central Repair Facility (CRF) in Topeka, KS. The CRF is a depot repair facility for USPS mail processing, delivery, and bulk mail systems repairable parts. Examples: repairing printed circuit boards, electrical, electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies to component level. The CRF provides depot level maintenance for essential automation, mechanization, retail and bulk mail processing systems used in all mail processing and retail installations.

Responsibilities:

Our Mechanical Technician applies working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks in the repair of various types of mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
Tests, analyzes, and overhauls electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment using manufacturer’s manuals or similar documentation, detailed drawings, cut away and exploded view drawings, electrical diagrams, and testing equipment
Verifies dimensions using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Remove, replace, and reinstall electrical and mechanical assemblies and hardware in the repair and overhaul of equipment using hand tools, power tools, hoists, precision-measuring and test equipment
Tests items per requirements for circuit continuity and operational reliability using multimeters, voltmeters, function generators, megohmmeters and oscilloscopes. Analyzes test results, makes repairs or adjustments accordingly
Receives technical guidance as required from supervisor or higher level technicians.
Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent
United States Postal Service Sensitive security clearance required to start
Formal mechanical training from an accredited program or equivalent military training, or a minimum of two years verifiable work history experience in mechanical and/or electromechanical repairs may be used in lieu of education
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude with the knowledge and ability to perform repairs on simple to medium complexity electromechanical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic items
Ability to perform basic troubleshooting techniques
Must be able to read both electrical and mechanical wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints
Understand the fundamentals of AC and DC motor theory, single and three phase motors
Physical Requirements:

Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
