Requirements:

Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices.

Position mission:
This position is responsible for the skilled work in the repair and modification of diesel and gas-powered construction equipment, heavy and light trucks, and automobiles.

Major Duties:

Industrial Maintenance Technician

The Alma plant has an opening for Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with opportunities for overtime. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Alma, KS, and enjoy competitive wages along with a comprehensive benefits package. Incumbents primary role is tear down/set up, maintain, trouble shoot, and repair all plant equipment with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities:

Apply industrial maintenance skills and knowledge to install, operate, maintain, trouble shoot, and repair plant processing equipment.
Monitor and record system performance, and make adjustments to assure the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment
Perform the necessary preventative and predictive maintenance programs relating to the plant equipment
Assist in the recommendation, development, and implementation of system modifications to improve equipment operations and provide for attainment of plant and department goals.
Utilize the Asset Management System (EAM).
Provide training as needed for less skilled maintenance personnel as it relates to the plant’s equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience with mechanical work in an industrial manufacturing facility- preferring meat processing.
Previous experience with Refrigeration equipment, boilers, compressors, HVAC, fire suppression system, and water treatment equipment a plus.
Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong pattern of initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to prioritize and multi-task emergency and planned events.
Attention to detail.
Ability to use a computer and learn the various software programs required for the position.
Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in wide range of temperatures (-10 degrees F to 100 degrees F)
Ability to use powered equipment i.e. forklifts, hi-lifts ect.
Working Conditions:

The incumbent will be exposed to all the hazard associated with a production floor environment not limited to the following – temperatures average 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit in plant, wet slippery floors, mechanical equipment, working with or around chemicals used to sanitize the facility and loud noise exposure. PPE required to include but limited to hard hat, safety glasses and hearing protection. When required by specific job other PPE will need to be worn.

Purpose: The Lead District Maintenance – HVAC performs routine repairs and maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems including air distribution machinery, pneumatic and digital controls, hot and chilled water distribution, and variable volume systems. Industrial Electrician

Starting Pay Rate: $37.91/hr with possible OT potential

General Description:

As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process by trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of all tire-related manufacturing, processing machinery and equipment. You will also be responsible for related safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Install, troubleshoot and maintain all electrical components and systems including electronic sensors, motors, drives, PLC systems
Layout, assemble, install and test electrical fixtures, control equipment and wiring
Inspect, maintain and repair wiring, motors, switchboards, switches, blown fuses, various indoor/outdoor lighting fixtures and electrical mechanisms at industrial level 110vac – 4160vac
Install, inspect, clean and lubricate AC and DC motors up to 2500 hp
Troubleshoot industrial control systems, e.g., hydraulics, temperature control systems with steam or electrical heat source, and chilled water as cooling source
Perform minor welding such as fabrication and installing brackets and panel mounts
Fit and connect conduit using various tools necessary to layout, cut, thread and bend as well as cut holes.
Work with and around live circuits and making hot taps when required
Maintain power, lights and alarms wiring systems (Facilities Maintenance)
Log or use computerized work order system for repair and maintenance activities performed
Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, sketches, layouts, circuit diagrams or specifications
Abide by safe work standards including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash)
Adhere to Goodyear’s attendance policy
Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable.
Basic Qualifications:

HS Diploma/GED
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Required to lift heavy materials, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment contingencies
Ability to work any and/or rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable
Basic computer skills
Must provide basic tools
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as an Industrial Manufacturing Electrician with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery and power/control devices.
Industrial Electrician Journeyman’s card or AAS in Electrical Technology
Experience working with a variety of PLC and AC/DC drive controls, platforms, including but not limited to, Modicon, Siemens and Rockwell
Desire and willingness to learn and perform across crafts
Basic computer skills
Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards
