Associate Facility Planner

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our Facilities team and has a new opportunity for an Associate Facility Planner. This position will assist in developing and managing workspace strategies and solutions by creating effective space plans and designs for all Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas facilities in order to meet the company’s organizational goals. Assists in design of building interiors and finishes as well as the timely procurement of furnishings and equipment. The position may also involve some light facility general maintenance work.

What you’ll do

• Assists with resolving space issues within the company that requires acquired knowledge of the interaction of departments, workflow, and corporate space guidelines. Interaction will occur with all levels of management in order to provide adequate space in the most cost-effective manner.
• Involved in meetings related to move requests from leadership.
• Helps enforce corporate policies concerning office space guidelines.
• Capable of editing AutoCAD layouts of all facilities.
• Maintains secured AutoCAD facility library and all associated revision documents.
• Manages Corporate color palettes/schemes in coordination with the Marketing team.
• Develops detailed timelines in conjunction with others for floor remodels/layout changes.
• Executes special projects as assigned by Division Leadership.
• Travel to distributed sites to oversee or execute project work.

What you need

• Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD).
• Proficient with blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office Products.

Bonus if you have

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of project planning and associated software such as MS project or Smartsheet.

Compensation
$25.58 – $30.40
