Maintenance Technician ll

Role
This position ensures that all company offices and facilities are kept in good repair and functioning properly by performing periodic inspections and upkeep/repairs of a higher technical nature to buildings, facilities, and equipment. Works with custodial staff, groundskeepers, and other service providers needed to ensure all facilities are maintained and functioning properly to enhance the appearance and productivity of the company. Performs repairs, to building, facilities, and service equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs (general) maintenance and repair of company buildings/equipment and obtains work assignments from the maintenance manager or facilities director. Contacts appropriate personnel requesting service and determines type of service/repairs needed. Acts as electrician in repairing (minor) electrical malfunctions/installing equipment. Provides plumbing duties such as assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems. Acts as a carpenter in the minor alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and furniture. Will perform major repairs, replacement, and provide preventative maintenance to heating, air conditioning, and environmental control systems and oversees the general maintenance of these systems.

Oversees and completes all projects as assigned. Keeps management apprised of all critical issues. Makes recommendations for projects to be accomplished during the upcoming fiscal year.

Assists with obtaining information and bids leading to contracts with building service providers needed for the buildings/facilities.

Keeps an inventory of supplies and materials needed for maintenance/repairs. Maintain spreadsheets for items needed for upcoming projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Experience
Must have experience and a good working knowledge of heating and cooling equipment, electrical circuits, lighting equipment, plumbing and mechanical systems is. Experience with operating an energy/building management system preferred and experience estimating maintenance and repair costs is considered an asset.

Education/Certifications/Licenses
Associates or technical school, required. Certification in HVAC, and knowledge of electrical; plumbing; building management systems is preferred.

Master Plumber/Mechanical, preferred. International Facilities Management Association, membership (IFMA), preferred Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), preferred Universal Refrigerant certification, required.

Must have a valid drivers license.

Compensation is based on experience and ranges from $16.00 – $25.00 per hour.
