Maintenance Technician ll

Role
This position ensures that all company offices and facilities are kept in good repair and functioning properly by performing periodic inspections and upkeep/repairs of a higher technical nature to buildings, facilities, and equipment. Works with custodial staff, groundskeepers, and other service providers needed to ensure all facilities are maintained and functioning properly to enhance the appearance and productivity of the company. Performs repairs, to building, facilities, and service equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs (general) maintenance and repair of company buildings/equipment and obtains work assignments from the maintenance manager or facilities director. Contacts appropriate personnel requesting service and determines type of service/repairs needed. Acts as electrician in repairing (minor) electrical malfunctions/installing equipment. Provides plumbing duties such as assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems. Acts as a carpenter in the minor alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, facilities, and furniture. Will perform major repairs, replacement, and provide preventative maintenance to heating, air conditioning, and environmental control systems and oversees the general maintenance of these systems.

Oversees and completes all projects as assigned. Keeps management apprised of all critical issues. Makes recommendations for projects to be accomplished during the upcoming fiscal year.

Assists with obtaining information and bids leading to contracts with building service providers needed for the buildings/facilities.

Keeps an inventory of supplies and materials needed for maintenance/repairs. Maintain spreadsheets for items needed for upcoming projects.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

Experience
Must have experience and a good working knowledge of heating and cooling equipment, electrical circuits, lighting equipment, plumbing and mechanical systems is. Experience with operating an energy/building management system preferred and experience estimating maintenance and repair costs is considered an asset.

Education/Certifications/Licenses
Associates or technical school, required. Certification in HVAC, and knowledge of electrical; plumbing; building management systems is preferred.

Master Plumber/Mechanical, preferred. International Facilities Management Association, membership (IFMA), preferred Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), preferred Universal Refrigerant certification, required.

Must have a valid drivers license.

Maintenance Technicians at Meadowlark maintain facility equipment in an efficient manner, including preventative and seasonal maintenance on a large campus.

Applicant must have HVAC experience (prefer someone with Mechanical Journeyman License and EPA 608 certification).

The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor at Meadowlark maintains facility equipment in an efficient manner, including preventative and seasonal maintenance on a large campus, under the direct Supervision of the Environmental Services Leader.
Practical experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant related position.
Knowledge in boilers, compressors, generators, heating, air conditioning, as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Knowledge in building codes and safety regulations, maintenance practices, procedures and guidelines.
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent, and be a graduate of technical school in performance of general maintenance or equivalent practical experience in mechanical and maintenance work

HVAC Installer

Applicants would work as a team installing HVAC systems in residential new construction, as well as system replacement in existing homes. This position requires the use of hand tools, ladders, and working in the elements. Must be physically capable to work in attics and on roofs.
