Position Summary: This is a specialized and semi-technical position that is involved with a wide variety of agency programs. Supporting the agency programs to help them meet their objectives in a distributed computing environment is a vital role this position fulfills. Planning, deploying, and maintenance of the agencies PC’s and other peripherals such as phones, and giving input to the Information Systems Manager on improving the processes and ways IT can be leveraged to improve overall efficiency are critical to the level of success of this unit. Works support for issues for the applications for the video monitoring platform or access control in support of the Capital Police Monitoring Center. These applications include: the C-CURE 9000 Building Management System to manage access control card readers and the FLIR Latitude VMS for monitoring video cameras. Works troubles calls, prioritizing a response, and dispatching to the appropriate technicians (OITS, DoFM, KHP, or contracted vendor). Resolution process includes keeping the reporting agency informed of any potential charges, the status of the resolution, and working with accounting to ensure outside agencies are invoiced appropriately. Assists Information Systems Manager with current projects by preparing reports, documents, and tracking status updates. Stays current with KITO office to ensure compliance on reported projects. This includes, but is not limited to, departmental, agency-wide, or inter-agency projects (KITO reportable and others). Provide assistance to the Information Systems Manager with scheduling service calls, reporting, inter-departmental activities, and coordinating between various entities. Responsible for the design and implementation of certain administrative operations in order to accomplish the work unit’s responsibility. Provide assistance with activations and support on various agency devices up to and including mobile phones, laptops, and desktops while working with and supporting the Help Desk team. Oversees the voice, data and wireless communication requests, primarily with OITS (new circuits or trouble reporting). Works as a vendor liaison, acquiring information, receiving equipment, and resolving disputes when required. Completes purchase orders, vouchers, bills and forms to approve merchandise and/or reimbursement or to make payment for services and goods such as (IT devices, DTaaS, NaaS, and mobile accessories). Maintains valid tracking of all expenditures and receipts. Prioritize and/or organize requests for service, trouble tickets and maintenance of building, and security technicians. Develops and monitors processes to make sure all requests are performed timely and in order. Generates reports to the Information Systems Manager.

Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Licensing: Valid Driver’s License

Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in providing direction necessary to implement the objectives of an agency, program or organizational unit. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and supervisor. Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to function efficiently without constant supervision. Proficient writing skills and the ability to articulate technical processes in written format is critical. This position will assist the CIO. Communicate effectively with internal and external contacts both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications: Highly desired: Three years experience working with I.T. related processes.

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Applicant must complete the state project management process within one year of appointment. Must pass a through background investigation, and security clearance (no felony record) including fingerprinting. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry PC equipment. Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms and/or legs.
