Harris Fabrication is looking for experienced welders to join our night team. You will be responsible for welding and assembling metal pieces and products by using handheld welding equipment. Qualified candidates will have some previous welding experience and be responsible for the following: Setting up parts for welding by using hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures. Working from specifications, drawings and weld symbols. Preparing and completing work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding and cleaning metal.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
-Must be able to fit up and weld.
-Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials.
-Positions parts and sub-assemblies by using templates or reading measurements, and tack/welding them in place
-Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; tack/welding parts and sub-assemblies.
-Verifies specifications by measuring piece parts before assembly
-Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
