10% Collaborate with Customers and Peers – Communicates with other technicians, store associates, and customers in order to fully understand the mechanical problems being reported
10% Manages Parts Inventory – Obtains parts needed for repairs, while maintaining accurate parts inventory
10% Plan Repairs – Reviews Down Equipment Report and communicates with Rental Field Operations Manager to prioritize repairs and service calls
60% Repair and Maintain Equipment – Diagnose, maintain and repair all components of the machine, including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, fuel systems, and brake systems
10% Work Documentation – Utilizes company technology platform to document all work performed on equipment, including labor, and parts

Mobile Diesel Technician

Full time; Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

About the Role:

Job Duties
Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, make recommendations for repairs and perform critical repairs and adjustments
Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure equipment functions properly. The position analyzes and repairs equipment when it breaks by using tools to repair damage and by replacing parts that cannot be repaired and assists the Service Manager in whatever is necessary to keep equipment running. Repair and maintain all equipment pursuant to the company’s standards, including regular services, daily maintenance, and all regulatory requirements.
As necessary, drive to jobsite to repair company equipment.
Change oil and filters; lubricate all equipment.

Welding and metal fabricating – hard face weld on some wear parts. Weld and repair pans and other equipment as needed.
Ensure all trucks meet DOT specifications at all times.
Work overtime as the work schedule demands.

Must be trained in repairs, hydraulic and electrical systems
Must have good welding and metal fabricating skills.
Must own a large variety of tools and a tool box. Employee will be responsible for maintaining these tools and insuring as needed.

Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds to an overhead position.
