Automotive Restoration Technician

Must have a love for the old cars and the restoration process. Metal work, custom fabrication, body work, paint, assembly, wiring and a drive to build amazing vehicles that exceed the customers expectations.

We are a small mom and pop shop. Our work hours are Monday – Thursday 7am-6pm allowing for 3 day weekends. We offer paid holidays.

We are looking for self motivated and driven technicians. We have a long term goal to build a Riddler.

Our latest build won the Tri-Five Nationals 2023. 1955 Chevrolet Cameo with a Apple Kosmatic House of Kolor paint.

$18-$25 hour based on experience and skill set.

Construction Body Shop Painter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Construction Body Shop Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation, masking, and painting of all company equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for delivering high-quality work, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Sand, mask, and prime vehicle surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Repair and fill surface imperfections, such as dents and scratches.
Paint Application:
Apply paint using various techniques, including spraying, brushing, and rolling.
Ensure even coverage and smooth finishes.
Blend and layer paint to achieve seamless transitions between colors and panels.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished paint jobs to ensure they meet quality standards.
Touch up any imperfections and address customer concerns regarding paint quality.
Equipment Maintenance:
Clean and maintain painting equipment regularly.
Report any issues or malfunctions with painting tools and equipment.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling paints, solvents, and other materials.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Body Shop Painter or similar role.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, color matching, and surface preparation.
Ability to use various painting tools and equipment, including spray guns and paint mixing systems.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safety procedures and precautions related to painting.

Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or certification in auto body painting is a plus.

Powder Coat Painter

Responsibilities:
• This position will use various painting techniques that will include, but are not limited to, powder coat, wet paint spraying, Cerakote, hydro dip and several other techniques on various materials.
• Material preparation such as sand blasting, cleaning, dipping, masking, among other techniques is required.
• Must be competent in using potentially dangerous materials and equipment following all safety precautions, procedures and policies.
• The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail.
• Willingness to use protective wear and clothing.

Qualifications:
• Experience in powder coating and industrial painting.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently without daily supervision.
• Able to travel and install cabinetry products a plus.

Compensation is $17/hour.

Industrial Painter

Harris Fabrication is looking for an industrial painter to join our team! Qualified candidates will be responsible for applying finishes to various metal fabrications per print or blueprint specs provided. These coatings vary based on the needs of each customer, although we frequently use paint and powder coat applications. Any experience you may have with chemical safety and environmental procedure is a major plus. Sand blasting and finishing experience with different types of metal is also helpful.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

-Responsible for mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to these surfaces.
-May perform touch-ups or coordinate large painting projects.
-Strong background in powder coating and industrial painting.
-Strong attention to detail.
-Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal items using hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques.
-Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in welds.
-Smooths surface of item to specified finish, using hand tools and powered tools.
May polish metal surface, using powered polishing wheel or belt.
-Use materials to clean and etch stainless steel to provided specifics.
-Demonstrate ability to work independently without daily supervision.

Collision Refinishing Technician

∙Minimum 2 years experience in auto body repair and/or refinishing.

Painter

General Summary:

Ensures all Schenck Process parts and equipment are painted according to work orders. Prepares equipment, mixes paints, and maintains a safe and orderly work environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Paints parts and equipment according to work order using materials from paint booth. Sandblasts equipment and reapplies paint as needed.
Prepares equipment for painting by checking work orders, assembling workstation, mixing paints, inspecting parts for defects, cleaning equipment, and loading racks.
Maintains a neat and orderly work environment by sweeping paint booth daily, washing tank nozzles and other paint utensils, and making minor repairs to booth. Properly manage and dispose of all generated hazardous waste.
Performs related miscellaneous duties such as changing and assembling filters and ordering standard color paints.

Your qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior painting experience preferred.
