Internship Program Goals
Provide a rewarding experience for students who are preparing for real careers outside of high school or college. The goal is to provide a real-world, thought-provoking internship to experience things first-hand.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Collect and analyze data related to operational processes, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPI’s)
2. Assist in conducting root cause analyses to determine the underlying causes of problems.
3. Assist in managing CI projects, including planning, monitoring progress, and timely completion.
4. Document Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s), process changes, and improvement recommendations.

Job Skills
• Competence in collecting, organizing, and managing data related to operational processes and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies and principles for improvement.
• Ability to think critically and evaluate situations objectively to make informed decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address changes, conduct root causes analyses, and implement effective solutions.
• Intermediate level Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) experience.

Working Conditions
1. Refrigerated food manufacturing plant.
2. The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.
3. Lifting, kneeling, and bending with packages in excess of 50 lbs.
4. Production demands may require evening or weekend scheduling.
