Audio Visual Installer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual (AV) Installation Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the physical installation, setup, and testing of commercial AV systems in accordance with AVIXA/InfoComm standards, ensuring functionality, performance, and aesthetics are aligned with industry best practices and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, mount, and configure AV systems including displays, projection systems, loudspeakers, microphones, AV over IP systems, DSPs, control interfaces, and associated cabling infrastructure.
• Interpret and work from AV system design documents including schematics, signal flow diagrams, and architectural blueprints.
• Execute installations in compliance with AVIXA Installation Standard (ANSI/AVIXA 2M-2010) and follow AV System Performance Verification procedures to ensure systems meet intended functionality.
• Pull, label, terminate, and test a wide range of cables including HDMI, CAT6, coaxial, fiber optics, and speaker wire.
• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting using test equipment (e.g., multimeters, signal generators, analyzers) to verify proper signal flow and performance.
• Collaborate with project managers, programmers, and engineers during commissioning and provide feedback during punch-list resolution.
• Complete required documentation including as-built drawings, cable schedules, and verification checklists.
• Maintain professional appearance, worksite cleanliness, and adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Provide technical support and training to end users or clients during turnover when required.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, AV technology, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of AVIXA/InfoComm standards and best practices in AV integration.
• Familiarity with major AV brands (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, etc.).
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of signal types (analog, digital, networked AV) and system interoperability.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system schematics.
• AVIXA CTS certification a strong plus; CTS-I or CTS-D preferred.
• OSHA 10/30 or other relevant safety certification preferred.

Work Environment:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces as required.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and occasionally work extended hours.

Compensation:
Open: Range from $40000.00 to 60000.00
