Mill Worker

Help needed in a fast-paced mill manufacturing facility. Must have knowledge of mill work and machines and basic computer skills. Need to be able to lift 100 lbs. regularly. Monday through Friday, 7 am until 3:30 pm occasionally staying until 4:30 pm or an occasional ½ day on Saturday. There will be some overtime during the busy season. Quality Assurance Technician – FT/PT

General Summary
Monitors key process control points during production operations. Documents and reports any food safety or quality issues so that corrective actions can be taken.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Calibrates production scales according to the facility’s Calibration Program.
2. Performs process monitoring and verification checks on Dressings, Work-In-Process and finished products according to the facility’s Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan.
3. Verifies the facility’s environment such as temperature throughout the production facility, sanitizer concentrations and others as assigned.
4. Observes employee practices, documents and coaches good manufacturing practices.
5. Performs filling and packaging verification checks according to the facility’s Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan.
6. Collects samples of in-process intermediates for testing.
7. Completes Hold Tags and Cooling Tags, if appropriate, to isolate non-conforming ingredients or products.
8. Participates in daily product review of key sensory attributes of finished products.
9. Attends monthly Safety / Food Safety trainings and other training as assigned.
Job Specifications
1. High school diploma or 1+ years’ work experience is required.
2. Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
3. Regular attendance and punctuality are required.
Working Conditions
1. Food processing, warehouse and food laboratory environment.

Maintenance and Machinist – 2nd SHIFT

The Maintenance and Machinist will ensure all machinery and equipment in the production facility is safe, functional and well maintained. This position will also operate and maintain milling machines.Maintenance
• Complete preventative maintenance, repairs and upkeep.
• Work with Production staff to trouble-shoot and find solutions for decoration challenges.
• Assist with building and grounds maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, dock doors, dock plates, trailer restraints and switch lights.

• Flexibility to work variable shifts.
• Operate and maintain milling machines.
• Take precise measurement for cutting or shaping.

• Two-year technical degree in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or mechanics required.

Job Description:

40% Interact with faculty, train and supervise students on a daily basis in support of instructional laboratories, custom research applications, laboratory demonstrations, and student competition projects. Coordinate and schedule project requests for departmental faculty and research staff, as well as academic assistants. 20% Develop and manage testing, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems for teaching and research laboratories. Service Technician

Job Summary:

The field service technician is responsible for maintaining all equipment that is installed at customer sites. This typically includes electromechanical systems and PLCs or servers that interact with or control the system. He/She is the Company’s front-line liaison to our customers where he/she maintains a cohesive working relationship between Kern International and the Customer. Provide technical support to the Customer if within capabilities of the position expectations or communicate immediate supervisor technical support that is required beyond the position capabilities.
Perform operator training as needed.
Orders parts for local inventory and maintain accurate records of usage.
Maintain a working relationship with customer operators that focus on output improvements.
Perform repair of defective parts.
Respond to all service calls in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain a continuous dialogue with the Site Lead or Service Account Manager and the technical support group regarding any machine performance issues as well as operator deficiencies or concerns.
Job Qualifications:

Associates degree, technical school training, or Military graduate with experience working on electromechanical devices.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Electromechanical troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of electrical and/or mechanical diagrams.
Possess an understanding of PC hardware, software, and networks.
Able to work independently in remote locations with minimal guidance.
Possess a customer service attitude and the ability to communicate directly with the customer.
