Supervisor – KU Dining (Mrs. E’s)

Located in Lewis Hall, Ekdahl Dining (“Mrs. E’s”) is our largest residential dining center. Featuring rice bowls, woks, daily rotating grill options, customizable pizzas, an allergen free zone, plant-based food, salad bar, paninis, wraps, toasted subs, yogurt, parfaits and fresh fruit, Mrs. E’s serves a variety of chef-crafted food to students living on Daisy Hill. STARTING PAY RANGE: $17.83-$21.84/hr. commensurate with experience

REQUIREMENTS:
-Ability to use and teach proper equipment operation in a state-of-the-art kitchen.
-Knowledge of modern health, sanitary and safety standards and practices applied to food service.
-Ability to follow recipes and product cooking instructions.
-Ability to maintain quantity, quality, and inventory controls.
-Ability to perform above average physical requirements of food service work to include stooping, bending, extensive walking, standing for long periods and lifting 50 pounds.
-High School graduation or GED equivalent
-Demonstrated effective understanding of food preparation and food service operations.
-Able to demonstrate common culinary skills and understanding of culinary concepts.

THE BEST CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
-Minimum two years of volume food service production
-ServSafe Certification
