The Office Services team receives, manages inventory and deliveries and assigned building related projects, i.e. corporate office moves, assists Corporate Health with workstation modifications necessary due to workman comp issues or personnel relocations, assists with daily maintenance of the corporate recycle paper program and general maintenance duties.
Scheduled hours will be 7:30a – 4:00p M-F after training.
Use of the UPS Worldship system for advising employees of the least expensive and most efficient level of shipping to meet their needs. Ship all outgoing packaged materials for the Topeka office, provide tracking information for employee inquiries, run month-end cost center chargeback reports.
Must use the MyBlueView for inventory control and purchasing related duties.
Fill and distribute materials as requested by Topeka employees as well as those employees that are located in the various field offices throughout Kansas. Materials can be for both internal and external customers.
Assist with daily recycle paper pick ups and recycle related special requests from staff at our Topeka offices. Ensure that all HIPAA regulations pertaining to the disposal of BCBSKS generated materials containing PHI, are strictly adhered to.
Must be able to understand and scale auto cad drawings for furniture layouts.
Participate in corporate office moves, which in some cases will require giving instructions to an outside moving company.
Will entail tearing down and rebuilding workstations, moving boxes, chairs, PC’s, moving file cabinets, and all other miscellaneous items of the unit or units to their new assigned areas.
Perform ongoing maintenance to systems furniture (Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth), which includes height adjustments, reconfigurations, building new cubicles and repairs.
Install/repair suspended ceiling tile and grid.
Repair damage to sheetrock walls and reapply wall finish.
Install modular carpet tile and wall base.
Reconfigure floor to ceiling wall systems which include Ultra Wall and Inscape Wall systems.
Operate Genie Lift and a single man lift. Training and certification required.
Replace spent lamps. Must be trained in proper disposal of light bulbs.
Requires training in electrical and disposal of hazardous waste.
Receive purchase order items from vendors. Validate contents to shipping documents and purchase Orders. Check for discrepancies, quantities, damage, etc.
Must obtain certification to operate our departments’ pallet jacks, electric pallet trucks and forklifts in a competent and safe manner.
Ability to assist with ice/snow removal.
Job duties require lifting up to and in excess of 100 pounds, involve constant walking, standing, stooping, bending, and climbing. Job requires standing and walking up to eight (8) hours, possibly longer. Overtime will add to this.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
At least one year receiving or maintenance area experience preferred.
Must have and maintain valid Kansas Drivers license, and a good driving record.
Must be a self-starter, and able to work with little supervision.
Must be able to work overtime, sometimes with short notice.
Must have excellent communications skills for dealing with both internal and external customers.
Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, will be required to learn MyBlueView.
inventory/purchasing system, E forms and UPS Worldship.
Must be able to work well under pressure of delivery dates, overtime, due dates, etc.
Must be able to work in inclement weather, assist in snow/ice removal.
Must be able to become certified to operate our departments’ pallet jacks, electric pallet trucks and forklifts in a competent and safe manner.
Certifications will be required in operating equipment and handling hazardous waste materials.
Minimum salary starting at $19.23/hour. Salary based on education, skills and experience.
