Data Reporting Coordinator

Under the general direction of Demographics, Human Resources, and Teaching & Learning departments, the Data Reporting Coordinator is responsible for the collection and completion of all outside agency reporting requirements. This includes data entry and extraction from district databases to prepare reports under very strict deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Associates Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field required. Bachelors
Degree preferred. College coursework in computer science, statistics, and data
analysis required.
* Proficient knowledge of desktop computers and common software including word
processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software.
* Knowledge of data analysis techniques and strategies sufficient for analyzing data.
* Ability to disseminate data to a variety of users, both inside and outside the school district
* General knowledge of educational instruction and curriculum is preferred
Essential Functions:
* Manages school core data, including input, updates, and deletion
* Provides quality assurance of imported data and the accuracy of reports
*Collects and reports data for all Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) data requests.

Educator Data Collection System (ECDS) Reports include:
* Staff Assignment Report (SAR)
* Licensed Personnel Report (LPR) – Fall and Spring Vacancy Reports
* Data Reports – Staff Data, Full Time Equivalency, and Assignment
*Summary Reports – Staff Demographics and Qualification Summary
(monthly basis)
* Completes federal programs highly qualified requirements
* Completes data extraction for Federal Comparability Report
*Collects and reports data for all Kansas Association of School Boards (KASB) data
* KASB Surveys include:
* District Calendars
* District Policies – in relation to Classified Staff, Parent/Teacher Conferences, Activities Budgets, Early Retirement Incentives
* Elections Information – Odd years only
* Fees Information – Admissions, Equipment, Participation
* Staff Information – Salary, Benefits, Duties
* Supplemental Pay Information
*Teacher Information – Contracts, Headcounts, Leave Benefits, Duty
* Tracks and updates the assignments and grade levels of all certified teaching staff on a monthly basis for determining highly qualified status
*Designs and maintains databases for the collection of data necessary to complete
required reports.
Other Job Functions:
* Creates online forms as requested for use by district staff
*Supports initiatives for data integrity
*Responds to data requests from administrators
* Assist with any data presentations to ensure accurate information is provided
Physical/Emotional Requirements:
The incumbent may be required to use the following requirements during any part of the
working day:
Speaking, hearing, visual, reading, writing, word processing, mobility, consistency of
temperament, ability to work with a variety of problems at the same time, stamina for working long hours and in stress producing environments.
The performance responsibilities of this position are not limited to those outlined in this
description and may include any other responsibilities assigned by the Board of Education, the Superintendent, or direct supervisor, or his/her designee.
