If you are a 3D modeling Jedi and answered yes to the above questions, we’d like to talk to you. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, time efficient and brilliant drafter whose aptitude and finesse in the 3d modeling field surpasses the competition. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? SOMEONE WITH:
An associates degree in drafting, a drafting certification and/or 5 years of experience.
3D modeling experience, preferably with Solid Edge (Solid Works, Pro E, Inventor, Catia, etc., are okay too, but be ready to adapt and overcome).
The ability to think creatively, express ideas (in word and on the model) and work with a team to realize a finished project.
The capacity to perform under pressure; sometimes deadlines come quicker than we want them to
A continuous desire for strong personal growth.
A commitment to upgrading your technical knowledge and capabilities and pursuing additional coursework and training.
A team-oriented mindset.
WHAT WILL YOU DO AT THOMPSON?
Create neat and accurate CAD work.
Work alongside the Thompson team to surpass the project goals and make our customers more than happy.
Use your ninja-like drafting skills to prepare designs/drawings using the project specifications, and written/verbal instructions in accordance with established standard and procedures.
Bring a new “edge” to this office.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Capability to read blueprints
Capacity to understand software used in our office setting to model assemblies, and having the aptitude to grow this knowledge.
Coordinate work and communicate with others in a team
Good understanding of Microsoft Office products
Understanding of mechanical drafting techniques
Ability to travel onsite to correctly measure and draw items
Knowing why it is important to measure twice and cut once

$14-$19 per hour, based on experience
