Vehicle Mechanic

IES Commercial, Inc. – Commercial & Industrial Division, seeking full-time Vehicle Mechanic.

Job Summary:

Maintenance, inspection, diagnostics and repair on light/medium duty trucks at various job site locations.
Performs hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
Performs installation of new equipment.
Interprets manuals, blueprints, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
Responsible for inventory control in regards to researching parts in manuals, completing material requisitions, follow-up on arrival dates, as well as returning unused parts to vendors.
Maintains equipment records and DOT inspection forms.
Complies with all company and customer safety policies and procedures.
Travel required.

Qualifications:

ASE certification required.
2-4 years of recent related experience.
Experience with light/medium duty trucks, hydraulics and general diagnostic procedures.
Valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
High School Diploma/GED.
OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.

Mechanic

We are seeking a Mechanic to work with our experienced Shop team. An ideal candidate would have demonstrated experience in repairing heavy equipment, vehicles, and other mechanical systems. This position is located in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

This person is responsible for:
– Conducting quality repairs on all agriculture equipment, resulting in maximum functionality, reliability, and longevity. Equipment types include, but are not limited to: feed and other trucks, heavy construction equipment, tractors, loaders, skid steers, fork lifts, ATV’s, mowers, vehicles, motors, and generators.
– Troubleshooting reported problems on equipment and vehicles, diagnosing breakdowns, repairing and resolving issues in a timely manner.
– Inspecting equipment, vehicles, engines, transmissions, mechanical and electrical components, as well as computer and electronic systems and running diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
– Supporting a culture of proactive repairs versus reactive.
– Supporting the preventative maintenance program by educating equipment operators on proper daily maintenance.
– Maintaining shop equipment, shop and parts crib work areas, parts crib inventory and shop tools in satisfactory condition.
– Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in work area.
– Collaborating with internal and external resources, as appropriate. Building and maintaining strong internal and external business relationships.
– Completing other duties, as assigned.

Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
– Proven experience as a mechanic.
– Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electrical components on equipment and vehicles.
– Aptitude in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools, and shop equipment.
– Ability to follow established procedures, read instructions, blue prints, auto cad drawings, etc.
– Working knowledge of diagnostic methods and systems.
– Very good problem-solving ability.
– Possess great attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Ability to manage multiple projects / work efforts.
– Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.

This position requires:
– Individual must be able to work in adverse conditions, if needed.
– Exerting 10-100 pounds of force frequently. Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching/handling/grasping, and stairs continuously; carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, and kneeling/crouching frequently; sitting, climbing, and crawling occasionally.

Preventative Maintenance Mechanic

Adams Land and Cattle is seeking a mechanic to handle all of the preventative maintenance pertaining to heavy equipment and vehicles. This position is located in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

This person will be responsible for:
– Supporting the ALCC Safety Program through SSU Meetings and as described in the policy manual. Exemplifying safety exepectations.
– Coordinating an effective and efficient vehicle / equipment preventative maintenance program that maximizes functionality, reliability, and longevity.
– Understanding ALCC equipment inventory, maintenance / service intervals, service requirements, and inspections of equipment.
– Scheduling equipment maintenance with area supervisors.
– Assuring preventative (planned) maintenance is completed on-time.
– Completing complete and thorough inspection of equipment, vehicles, engines, transmissions, mechanical, electrical components.
– Cleaning and applying lubricants to equipment / vehicle components.
– Understanding fluids, appropriate application, and replenishment quantities for engines and equipment / vehicles.
– Providing consultation on correct operation, maintenance, and preventative measures to equipment / vehicles users.
– Assisting with inventory management of lubricants, filters, and parts needed for the preventative maintenance program.
– Completing work orders after every vehicle / equipment service.
– Supporting the preventative maintenance program by educating equipment operators on proper daily maintenance.
– Maintaining the North Shop facility (work areas, tools, etc.) in a clean and professional manner.
– Collaborating with internal and external resources, as appropriate. Building and maintaining strong internal and external business relationships.
– Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in work area.
– Completing other duties, as assigned.

Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
– Proven experience as a mechanic.
– Excellent knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of equipment and vehicles.
– Aptitude in using various hand tools, precision measurement tools, and shop equipment.
– Ability to follow established procedures, read instructions, blueprints, auto cad drawings, etc.

– Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, if needed.
– Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 20-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching/handling/grasping, and stairs constantly; carrying, lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling, kneeling/crouching, climbing, and crawling frequently; sitting occasionally.
