Truck Assembler

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The primary function of the Assembly Department is to perform all necessary assembly routines before & after equipment has been painted with some limited welding required.

REQUIRED SKILLS
o Reliable attendance is critical
o Able to work in a team environment
o Attention to detail is critical
o Able to read blueprints
o Read 1/8”, 1/16”, gradations on tape measure
o Convert feet to inches and vice versa
PRIMARY TASK
o Read and interpret blueprint detail drawings and dimension styles
o Use shop paperwork to complete machine assembly
o Operation of air tools for instillation
o Operate equipment safely
o Have a good mechanical background
o Good understanding of truck 12v wiring system, hydraulics, and air systems
o Bobtail assembly FCAW welding
o Truck Tank assembly aluminum Mig and Tig welding

o Will train right individual

Auto Technician II

Auto Technician II
Parks & Recreation/Parks

Duties: Performs a variety of skilled mechanical repair work to gas, diesel & electric powered equipment; able to diagnose & troubleshoot motor & mechanical problems; carries out a preventive maintenance program; overhauls engines, both 2 cycle & 4 cycle gasoline powered equipment, carburetors, brake cylinders, differentials, transmissions, pumps & apparatus; fabricates special equipment & attachments to equipment involving acetylene & electrical welding; services & maintains gas & electric golf carts; uses computer to record equipment repair & maintenance; aids in storm-related activities such as snow removal operations; may perform irrigation repair & mow grass as needed.

Education: High school or G.E.D. & completion of an approved apprenticeship.

Experience: Two years of progressively responsible mechanical experience.

Requirements: Must possess a valid Kansas driver’s license.

Work Type: Heavy, exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to more objects.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
