Description

As a welder in the Wamego facility, you will hand weld in multiple positions to create parts using semi-automatic MIG welders and .052 wire as well as use robotic welding technology. You will also read and use blueprints to weld individual parts together. You will use jib and overhead cranes to manually position parts and work in one and two person stalls that are clean, well ventilated, safe, and equipped with the latest technologies.

Basic Qualifications:

Possess a welding certification or a minimum of one (1) year welding experience, or will be graduating with a Welding certificate in the next 90 days.
Available to work from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the introductory training period
Must be 18 years of age, or will be 18 at the time of hire
Must be a current student enrolled in a Welding program in Kansas, or have graduated in the last 6 months

STARTING PAY RANGE: $23.00/HR -$26.75/HR
(*Hourly rate is based on experience starting at $21.50-$25.00 with a 7% night shift premium when working 2nd shift hours.)

Daytime Receptionist/Bookkeeper

We are seeking a receptionist/bookkeeper for daytime hours. We will consider both part-time and full-time applications. Some experience in a customer service is preferred but not required. Will train the right person. This currently is a temporary job but based on job performance might lead to a permanent role.

We would like to hire someone that can type and use computer-based programs. The job will be at our front desk and the applicant will be required to check in and out clients, receive payment, make appointments for clients and do any other office duties requested. The job may evolve into working with clients that have payroll and other accounting needs.

We are a small business and work around other obligations such as school or family. We only have an opening for daytime Monday thru Friday working hours.

Position Summary: Incumbent will learn policies, procedures and develop competency in the following areas: Operation of a highly complex multi-channel satellite repeater radio system to maintain contact between KHP troopers, other state, local and federal agencies, and fire and ambulance personnel in a wide geographic area. Visually examine and inspect commercial motor vehicles to check for proper signage, labeling, display of licenses, size, volume, and weight compliances. Check registrations, licenses, permits, insurance, and conduct CVSA inspections, in order to detect or deter illegal transport activities. Check for dyed fuel usage. Check the registration and Vehicle Identification Number to verify ownership and proper registration. Explain to carriers the correct way to apply for permanent licenses and permits. Explain and instructs drivers on a one-on-one basis on correct driver’s daily log procedures and vehicle requirements. Issues citations to violators, inspects permits, and files complaints for violations of state motor carrier laws and regulations. Testify in court to gain conviction for issued citation. Prepare daily reports of generated activity and permits, and remits monies collected. Answers questions by phone and in person relative to the inspection, applicable permits, and registration of motor carriers; inquiries relating to permits, licenses, and laws governing commercial motor vehicles. Renders assistance in order to provide help to individuals who experience medical problems or accidents. 4) Attends all required agency meetings, and training sessions on equipment and agency systems. Maintains agency equipment and uniforms are presented neat and clean in appearance. Reports all equipment needs to a supervisor as those needs arise. 5) MISCELLANEOUS – When assigned provides security during special assignments/events as prescribed by Troop Commander and/or direct supervisor.
