Field Service Technician 1

Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician I is responsible for the completion of assigned service calls at lottery retailer locations. These include scheduled calls (installs, removals, and preventative maintenance I (PM”s) and unscheduled calls (service and supplies as initiated by the retailer). This position will also be responsible for troubleshooting all communication problems over the telephone and/or traveling to customer locations for repair, install, preventative maintenance, and removal of terminal and communications equipment. This position will average approximately 6 – 10 detailed activities per day depending upon local area need, responsibility, and service order type.

Responsibilities-Essential Functions:
1. Performs extensive field repair functions including installs, removing terminals, communications equipment and peripheral procedures, with little or no supervision.
2. Performs problem diagnosis for scheduled and unscheduled service calls. Ability to travel to customer sites for repair.
3. Performs vehicle management functions as set by guidelines.
4. Ability to operate a smart services phone.
5. Ability to work with NRC to ensure timeliness to retail locations and understanding problem at each assigned service location
6. Records service call information, logs and reports data communication problems to management and communicates recommendations on customer’s equipment.
7. Follow through on customer issues that require additional support or are above the scope of own abilities.
8. Ability to troubleshoot all forms of communications within a retailer location, including but not limited to, VSAT, DSL, and CDMA technologies.
9. Provide necessary information and updates on an ongoing basis to management regarding the resolution of software and hardware problems.
10. Performs routing maintenance on company vehicles.
11. Maintains an acceptable driving record in accordance with the motor vehicle policy.
12. Maintains an acceptable level of customer service.
13. All other duties as assigned.

Welder / Machinist

Opportunity for a highly motivated and disciplined individual with a high aptitude in mechanics. At times, individuals may be required to assist in other areas.

This person is responsible for:
-Working safely in the shop and feedlot environments by following all company safety guidelines.
-Working with the Machine Services / Lot Maintenance teams on a diverse range of projects from build, to repair, rebuild, and retrofit of production assets, including feedlot facilities (processing, feed mill, fencing, water and sprinkler systems) and equipment (feed and straight trucks, heavy equipment, tractors).
-Performing skilled work in welding, cutting, shaping, and machining accurately and precisely by using welding and machining equipment.
-Assembling, fabricating/machining, and repairing parts to specifications, including measuring mechanical fits, welding parts, and machining parts.
-Setting up, adjusting, and operating the following welding equipment: Arc and MIG welders.
-Setting up, adjusting, and operating the following machining equipment: mills and lathes.
-Using project plans, blue prints, job specifications, and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished product.
-Inspecting and testing final product for conformance to quality standards and/or blueprint specifications.
-Performing related material handling duties.
-Coordinating the ordering of required welding materials, such as rods, gas, and metals.
-Maintaining accurate parts usage and/or other records.
-Cleaning and maintaining the shop work area.
-Cleaning and performing preventative maintenance (PM) and general repairs on utilized welding/machining equipment.
-Communicating with engineering, supervisory, production services, and feedlot personnel to effectively exchange technical information.
-Responding to emergency or high priority work which may, on occasion, be outside of normal working hours.
-Recognizing that weather conditions may require change in activities and that cattle comfort is first and foremost regarding this activity.
-Evaluating current processes/procedures to recommend changes/modifications for improvements.

Ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

-Welding certificate or a minimum of two years welding experience with Arc and MIG welders required.
-Machining certificate or a minimum of two years machining experience, such as late, milling machine, drill press, band saw, and any machinist related hand tools required.

-Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, welding symbols and geometric tolerance/dimensioning.
-Experience with precision measurement and calibration, including measuring fits of mating parts.

-Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and 10-20 pounds of force constantly. CNC Programmer/Operator

Job Purpose: Produces machined parts by programming, setting and operating multiple computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Maintains quality and safety standards, maintains equipment and supplies and including manual equipment.

Essential Functions
1. Work with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials.
2. Write and optimize CNC programs to create complex parts on 3 and 4 axis machining centers
3. Create and compile necessary documents to aid setting up machines
4. Write CNC programs for 2 and 4 axis lathes.
5. Plans machining by studying work orders, blue print materials, specifications, machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
6. Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation and conditional switches, and calculating requirements.
7. Setup mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collects bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers, indicting vices’, and trimming heads.
8. Loads feed mechanism on multiple machines by lifting stock into position.
9. Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to standards.
10. Integrate work with engineering, production and purchasing departments to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the plant.
11. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, thread chasing operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality procedures and processes.
12. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Secures tools, materials, and equipment at end of day.
13. Accomplishes Company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
14. Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions.

•Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
•Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools including (gas metal arc – primary), shielded metal arc, gas tungsten arc, , flux-cored arc, submerged arc, electroslag welding.
•Weld separately or in combination, using (mild steel – primary), aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
•Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
•Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, consumable electrode wire and flux, according to welding specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
•Ignite torches or start power supplies and strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing electrical circuits.
•Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired flames are obtained.
•Clean or degrease weld joints using wire brush or grinder.
•Able to lift parts / materials or varying weights onto and out of work area(s).
•Assist other welder employees, other employees and train employees on job procedures.
•Use tools, equipment and technology, including hand or power tools, manufacturing/operations equipment and computerized or automated systems.
•Maintain work area(s) in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
•Maintain production, other data and reports.
•Perform work duties, activities and responsibilities on assigned shift and schedule.
•Perform other duties, activities and responsibilities as instructed.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
•High school diploma or GED required.
•Previous welding work experience (both MIG and Pulse) is required.
•At least 2 years of work-related experience, (working in a manufacturing / production work environment, or working in a welding shop.)
•Certified Welder qualifications is preferred.
•Candidate must be able to successfully complete the AWS Testing Requirements.
•Able read and interpret work instructions, blue prints, manufacturing drawings or similar information.
•Must be able to write legibly and demonstrate good communication skills.
